The AIA London/UK Chapter invites architects in the U.S. to submit entries to its eighth annual Excellence in Design awards program. Because the program aims to celebrate and reward design excellence regardless of origin, it is open to architects throughout the world for built projects in the UK. In past years, this broad mix has included winning projects from the offices of Foster & Partners, Rick Mather, Zaha Hadid, Sauerbruch Hutton, Will Alsop, and David Chipperfield.

Submissions are due 5 p.m. GMT, January 18, 2002, and the awards presentation will take place at London's British Museum on February 12, 2002. Details can be found on the chapter's Web site. Send questions by fax, +44 (0)20 7798 1100 (for the attention of "AIA Design Awards") or by email.
