AIA/CES Registered Providers Receive a New Manual, Plan Convention Training
Sign up now for the May 16 training session in Denver

The newest edition of the AIA Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) manual went out last month to all registered continuing-education providers, including AIA components and AIA firms registered with the system.

The 2001 manual features the new Quality Assurance Agreement, updated AIA/CES policies and procedures, the latest information on state licensing requirements, and new forms.

If you did not get a copy, email a request for a new copy to Beverly Holton.

Education and training personnel from AIA firms, components, and others registered as AIA/CES providers will gather Tuesday evening, May 15, and all day May 16 to learn about AIA/CES policies, state licensing requirements, and how to make the most of their role as a registered provider.

Course work on Wednesday morning is divided into advanced and basic curriculums, including trainer instruction and quality assurance (basic) and CES Award recognition and distance education (advanced). The afternoon plenary session is a Dale Carnegie Training course on presentation improvement. AIA members can earn AIA/CES learning units at this event. Interspersed among the learning sessions, registered providers will have opportunities to exchange information informally with one another.

For registrations before April 27, the cost is $50 for AIA chapter/firm providers, $80 for Passport/Allied providers, $170 for all other AIA/CES registered providers, and $375 for providers not registered with the AIA/CES. After April 27, the costs are $75, $115, $215, and $425, respectively.
