AIA New York to Sponsor Ethics Conference April 21

The AIA New York Chapter—together with the Education Committee of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and City College School of Architecture alumni-—will sponsor the "Ethics, the Environment, and Architecture" conference, April 21, 1:30–3:30 p.m. at the St. James Chapel in the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, N.Y.

The conference will follow the pattern of last year's debate at General Theological Seminary in New York City (see AIArchitect, September 2000, page 2). Since the date of the seminar is the weekend of Earth Day, the panel will focus on how architecture can interact with the planet in a sustainable fashion. Speakers will include Lance Jay Brown, AIA, moderator; Robert Geddes, FAIA; and Gregory Palermo, FAIA.
