In Search of . . . Great Additions
They could be published in an upcoming book

Wendy Joseph, AIA, Washington, D.C., is writing a book for Taunton Press about residential additions. She needs creative ideas, practical tips, and examples of additions that represent a wide variety of:
• Architectural styles
• Sizes and budgets
• Complexity, from bump-outs to multi-room additions
• Creative solutions
• Expansions in all areas of the house, including kitchens and breakfast areas; family/media/entertainment areas; master suites and apartments; extra bedrooms and baths; home offices and computer centers; sun rooms; porches and decks; "inside the shell" additions, such as lofts; and specialty spaces, such as studios, exercise rooms, storage areas, and mud rooms.

Submissions should include:
• Plans
• Interior and exterior before-and-after photographs or sketches (professional photography is preferred)
• Brief project descriptions highlighting key ideas and innovations.

Project submissions are due November 1. Send to: Wendy A. Joseph, AIA, 3267 Van Hazen Street NW, Washington, DC 20015.
