Gary A. Betts, AIA, principal of Loebl Schlossman & Hackl, Chicago, was recently elected secretary of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).

KressCox Associates, P.C., Washington D.C., has changed its name to Cox Graae + Spack Architects. The 20-year-old firm provides architecture, planning, and interior design services.

Lester B. Knight & Associates Inc., which includes subsidiaries Knight Advanced Technology and Knight Architects Engineers Planners, was acquired July 1 by M+W Zander U.S. Operations, Inc. Both companies are in Chicago.

Saltz Michelson Architects, an architectural and planning services firm in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has merged with James M. Hartley Architects, a Hollywood, Fla., firm specializing in educational, institutional, and recreational facilities. The firm will be known as Saltz Michelson Architects. James M. Hartley, AIA, will serve as vice president and Sheff L. Devier, AIA, as senior project manager.

Zeidler Roberts Partnership has changed its name to Zeidler Grinnell Partnership. Ian Grinnell, AIA, was promoted to partner.
