International Committee Seeks Nominees for Advisory Group 2002
Applications are due October15

There will be one vacancy in 2002 on the five-member International Committee PIA Advisory Group. Members are expected to advise on and oversee the annual programmatic planning, development, and conduct of all PIA activities; attend two committee meetings per year; initiate and lead international-related programs and events at the AIA national convention; and assume leadership responsibilities for various PIA project task groups. Members receive partial travel and per-diem support for participation in the committee meetings.

All appointments are for a three-year term beginning in 2002. Advisory group members serve a fourth year if they accede to the position of chair. Expressions of interest and qualifications must be received by October 15.

Composition of the 2002 Advisory Group
James R. Kirkpatrick, AIA, will assume the chair of the advisory group, with Alan Schwartzman, FAIA, in the position of vice chair. The current member, Bradford White Fiske, AIA, will be joined by the new member. James T. Fitzgerald, FAIA, will serve a fourth year as former chair. Solomon S. Pan, FAIA, has completed his term and will step down from the advisory group. Also included in the advisory group are ex-officio members Ronald Arthur Altoon, FAIA, council member of the International Union of Architects; Thomas Vonier, FAIA, AIA representative to the Architects Council of Europe; and Terrance Brown, FAIA, AIA representative to the Panamerican Federation of Architects Associations.
