As a member of the AIA Gold Medal/Architecture Firm Award Advisory Jury, Michael Graves, FAIA, was in Washington, D.C., June 13. He joined jury chair Edward Kodet Jr, FAIA; Michael A. Alost, AIA; Henry S. Reeder Jr., FAIA; Ken Schwartz, FAIA; and John C. Senhauser, FAIA, to select five nominees each for the 2002 Gold Medal and Firm Award. The AIA Board will consider the qualifications of the nominees between now and December 2001 when they announce their decision.

Following deliberations, Graves visited the AIA Bookstore, where he graciously agreed to sign the copies in stock of The Master Architect Series III: Michael Graves, Selected and Current Works and Michael Graves: Buildings and Projects, 1990–1994. The five signed copies of the former and four of the latter books are available for sale from the bookstore. Call 800-242-3837 (option 4) to learn more.
