AIA Convention 2001's Design Marketplace in the Mile-High City
The expo floor offers new products, continuing ed, and a whale of a good opening night party

Introduce yourself to an extraordinary display of all things new in the world of products and technologies design at the AIA 2001 National Convention and Expo in Denver, May 17–19.

An integral part of the AIA's national convention, AIA Expo2001 will feature more than 120,000 square feet of products, technologies, and services from 600 innovative companies.

You can also earn LU hours while you're there—AIA/CES Registered Providers will present brief programs at their booths, for which you can earn continuing education credit.

And don't miss the AIA Expo2001 Opening Night Party, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. Leave your coat and tie behind and head to the Old West-style party featuring regional food, music, and other lively entertainment. It's the perfect opportunity to mix business with pleasure-find marketplace solutions for your workplace challenges while wining and dining in the Mile-High City.

Pavilions

This year, AIA Expo2001 will feature six product pavilions, including the debut of the Green Products Pavilion, sponsored by Environmental Design & Construction magazine, to promote the concept of sustainable design and energy-efficient products and services. The Green Products Pavilion will be joined by perennial favorites:
• High-Tech Pavilion, displaying the latest designing, drafting, engineering, and construction management software
• Stone and Tile Pavilion, sponsored by Stone World and Contemporary Stone & Tile Design magazines, will feature pavers, cultured river rock, granite, and decorative and industrial tiles
• Lighting Pavilion, where you'll find wall sconces, chandeliers, task lighting, path lights, and security lighting
• Fabric Architecture Pavilion, sponsored by Fabric Architecture magazine, featuring innovative balustrade systems, tensile fabrics, and cable mesh
• Restoration Products Pavilion, the place for everything from column capitals to historic windows.

Member Services Center
Visit the AIA Member Services Center on the expo floor to learn about the new MyAIA Internet portal, where you can access your customized view of the latest AIA information resources. Also, learn about the AIA's 22 Professional Interest Areas (PIA) continuing education opportunities, and information-sharing and networking activities. And, while you're there, take the time to join the folks from AIA Trust and pose with your favorite "Top 10" building-and memorialize the moment on a souvenir button.
