AIA Electronic-Format Documents Now Feature Multi-seat Licensing

In response to user requests, the AIA now offers a new multi-seat firm licensing plan for the AIA Electronic-Format (EF 3.0) Contract Documents. Firms will find EF 3.0 easier and more economical to use with a sliding scale pricing system. It gives firms full working access to AIA documents at multiple computer stations in one or more offices.

The multi-seat firm license plan allows firms to save 60 percent or more for multiple, full-access licenses, with particular savings for firms that have a large number of full-access needs.

"In recent months, AIA members and other contract documents users within the construction industry told us they wanted some means of having unlimited access to documents at multiple workstations and locations," said AIA Executive Vice President/CEO Norman L. Koonce, FAIA. "We listened to those comments and came up with a new licensing and pricing plan that gives AIA users the flexibility, convenience, and financial benefit they want to work on contracts at multiple sites and locations."

The new, multi-seat firm pricing plan joins two current EF 3.0 contract document purchase options—a meter-based "pay as you go" system and an unlimited annual license purchase option.

Information about ordering or converting disks to the multi-seat firm license option is available online. Credits are available until Dec. 31, 2001, for firms switching from existing multiple licenses purchased this year to a multi-seat firm license.

EF 3.0 includes current forms and agreements for more than 70 AIA standard form contract documents, recognized as the design and construction industry benchmark for legal agreements. A free demo copy of the software can be obtained by contacting a local chapter of the AIA or calling 800-365-2724.
