Experiences in Design/Build:
The Expanding Dimensions of Practice and Education (Design-Build PIA)
Out of concern for individuals' ability to reach and return safely from
Atlanta, Experiences in Design/Build is postponed. The new date has not
yet been chosen, but it is likely to be near the end of March 2002. The
AIA, ACSA, and the Conference Planning Committee will be conferring next
week and hope to have a firm date then. The AIA will promptly refund the
full amount registrants have sent to participate in the meeting. AIA national
component staff are in the process of setting up the mechanism to get
checks processed and sent.
Six Degrees of Collaboration
(Technology in Architectural Practice PIA)
Due to the tragic events earlier this week in New York, Pennsylvania,
and Washington, D.C., Six Degrees of Collaboration, scheduled for September
2224, 2001, is rescheduled for spring 2002. The PIA will hold it
in Washington, D.C., as originally planned. The PIA will notify its members
as soon as exact dates are available. Anyone who has made hotel reservations
in connection with this conference should contact the hotel directly and
cancel your reservations sufficiently in advance (72 hours) to ensure
you do not incur any charges. The AIA will mail a refund or credit your
credit card account, as appropriate, the full amount of your conference
registration fees. The PIA apologizes for any inconvenience this postponement
may cause, and appreciates everyone's understanding of this difficult
situation.

Value: Building Successful Project Teams Through Strategic Alliances (Practice
Management PIA)
We regret to announce that due to the tragic events that have taken
place this week in New York; Washington, D.C.; and Pennsylvaniaand
out of concern for the ability of individuals to be able to travel safely
and in a timely manner to and from Washington, D.C. next monththis
conference will be postponed until sometime in March or April of next
year. We expect to finalize the details for the rescheduled event within
30 days, and will notify you of the details as promptly as possible. The
rescheduled conference is expected to be held here in Washington as originally
planned. The PIA is in the process of contacting all conference speakers,
registrants, and sponsors individually. Anyone who has made hotel reservations
in connection with this conference should contact the hotel directly and
cancel those reservations sufficiently in advance to ensure you do not
incur any charges. The cancellation policy of the conference hotel, the
Holiday InnGeorgetown, 202-338-4600,
requires that you cancel your reservations a minimum of 72 hours in advance.

Due to the high level of interest, BP wants to put together a larger forum
and has decided to postpone this conference until fall 2002
