Three postponements; one cancellation

Postponed

Experiences in Design/Build: The Expanding Dimensions of Practice and Education (Design-Build PIA)
Out of concern for individuals' ability to reach and return safely from Atlanta, Experiences in Design/Build is postponed. The new date has not yet been chosen, but it is likely to be near the end of March 2002. The AIA, ACSA, and the Conference Planning Committee will be conferring next week and hope to have a firm date then. The AIA will promptly refund the full amount registrants have sent to participate in the meeting. AIA national component staff are in the process of setting up the mechanism to get checks processed and sent.

Six Degrees of Collaboration (Technology in Architectural Practice PIA)
Due to the tragic events earlier this week in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C., Six Degrees of Collaboration, scheduled for September 22–24, 2001, is rescheduled for spring 2002. The PIA will hold it in Washington, D.C., as originally planned. The PIA will notify its members as soon as exact dates are available. Anyone who has made hotel reservations in connection with this conference should contact the hotel directly and cancel your reservations sufficiently in advance (72 hours) to ensure you do not incur any charges. The AIA will mail a refund or credit your credit card account, as appropriate, the full amount of your conference registration fees. The PIA apologizes for any inconvenience this postponement may cause, and appreciates everyone's understanding of this difficult situation.

Strength, Quality, Value: Building Successful Project Teams Through Strategic Alliances (Practice Management PIA)
We regret to announce that due to the tragic events that have taken place this week in New York; Washington, D.C.; and Pennsylvania—and out of concern for the ability of individuals to be able to travel safely and in a timely manner to and from Washington, D.C. next month—this conference will be postponed until sometime in March or April of next year. We expect to finalize the details for the rescheduled event within 30 days, and will notify you of the details as promptly as possible. The rescheduled conference is expected to be held here in Washington as originally planned. The PIA is in the process of contacting all conference speakers, registrants, and sponsors individually. Anyone who has made hotel reservations in connection with this conference should contact the hotel directly and cancel those reservations sufficiently in advance to ensure you do not incur any charges. The cancellation policy of the conference hotel, the Holiday Inn—Georgetown, 202-338-4600, requires that you cancel your reservations a minimum of 72 hours in advance.
